This policy explains what happens to your data when you play Conjunction (the “app”), an Android game distributed through Google Play. It is written for the version of the app that is available today, and it is dated above so you can tell when it last changed.
The app sends nothing on its own. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting of its own and no network communication whatsoever. Your progress is stored on your device. The one way anything from the game reaches us is a feedback report that you choose to send: it happens only when you tap the feedback button and pick where it goes, never on its own and never in the background.
Your save game — character, progress, inventory, claimed fields and settings — is written to the app’s private storage area on your device. It leaves the device only inside a feedback report you send yourself (see below). Unless you have sent one, we have no copy of it and no way to read it.
Uninstalling the app removes this data. Unless you have sent us a feedback report, there is nothing further you need to do and nothing for us to delete, because we never had it.
The game has a feedback button for reporting bugs and ideas. When you tap it and send, the app packs one file containing:
The app does not send this file itself. It saves the file in your device’s Downloads folder and opens Android’s share menu. You choose the app it goes through (for example your e-mail app or Discord) and the recipient; for e-mail the address feedback@conjunctiongame.com is filled in for you. If you cancel, nothing is sent. The copy in Downloads stays until your next report replaces it or you delete it.
We use what you send only to find and fix errors and to balance the game. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in doing that, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep a report for as long as we are working on what it describes, and delete it earlier if you ask. The app you send it through also handles the report, along with whatever it carries with it, such as your e-mail address or Discord name, under its own terms. If you post a report in a channel that other people can read, they can see it too.
The app requests no access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.
The app itself sends nothing to us, but the distribution channel is not ours. When you download, install or update the app through Google Play, Google processes data about that — and, if you have enabled it on your device, may share crash diagnostics with developers in aggregated form. This processing is carried out by Google under its own terms, not by us. See Google’s Privacy Policy and the data safety section on the app’s Play Store page.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records server log data such as your IP address when a page is served; this is technically necessary to deliver the page and is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. The site sets no cookies and runs no tracking or analytics. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts a Google server and your IP address is transmitted in that request.
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).
In practice these rights only have something to act on if you have sent us a feedback report; otherwise we hold no data about you. To get a copy of a report, or have it deleted, write to the contact address above. You may object to our use of a report at any time (Art. 21), and we will then delete it.
The app is not directed at children and is not designed for them. It sends nothing on its own. If a child has sent us a feedback report, a parent or guardian can write to the contact address above and we will delete it.
The app is in active development. Features that would process data — online leaderboards, advertising or usage statistics — are not part of the app today. If any of them is added, this policy will be updated before the corresponding version is released, the version number and date above will change, and the data safety declaration on the Play Store page will be updated to match.
